SDGsSDGs
As a corporate entity that operates business in Okinawa, we are committed to developing its community through charities and by supporting various social activities.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the international goals adopted by the United Nations at 2015 Summit on the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. Based on the pledge to “leave no one behind”, the SDGs encompass 17 Goals and 169 Targets for the creation of a sustainable society, which brings benefit to everyone on the planet.
In line with this vision and the Corporate Principles of the Outsourcing Group, American Engineering Corporation is committed to the achievement of diversity, harmony and world peace. In pursuit of these goals, we aim to create a workplace where all individuals are valued for who they are and where each can attain a sense of fulfillment.
American Engineer Corporation has been registered as an “Okinawa SDGs Partner”.
Support for Local Children
AEC donates a portion of its profits to two organizations: Misato Jidoen, a children’s care home operated by the Social Welfare Corporation Kokusai Fukushi-Kai, and the Amerasian School in Okinawa, a non-profit educational institution.
Located in Chibana, Okinawa City, Misato Jidoen provides a safe, nurturing environment for children who require supportive care outside their homes, guided by the principles of love, harmony, and independence.
Established in 1998, the Amerasian School in Okinawa offers bilingual education in English and Japanese to children with both Japanese and American heritage. The school encourages students to embrace their unique identities and grow in a setting that celebrates cultural diversity and mutual respect.
Through its support, AEC is committed to fostering a society where every child can learn, flourish, and feel secure in an inclusive and caring environment.

Support for People with Disabilities
Each year, Kadena Airbase holds the Special Olympics as an opportunity for the people with physical or intellectual disabilities to engage in physical training and demonstrate their capabilities in athletic activities. AEC supports these events to promote self-help of the participants and contributes to fund raising activities to promote their social participation and enhance their quality of life.
American Engineer Corporation is a top official partner of the Ryukyu Golden Kings.
Clean-up Projects to Beautify the Community
AEC holds clean-up projects to beautify the neighborhood and nearby beaches. These are also aimed at facilitating communication and interactions with the people and other businesses in the community. Through such activities, AEC aims to raise its employees’ awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and contribute to the creation of a cleaner and more amicable local environment.
Support for Charity Events Hosted by the US Forces
AEC supports charity organizations and support groups for US military personnel and their families. Such organizations include USO OKINAWA, which provides welfare services for US military personnel, DFAS-JAPAN and Kadena First Sergeants Association, which provide benefits to the marines and the air forces in junior-ranks.
AEC donates to the events hosted by US Marine Corps Aviation Association for the development of MCAA to fund the scholarship for high school students living on base to enter universities.
Support for Social Welfare and Charity Organizations
AEC cooperates with the Red Feather Campaigns, donates to the Japanese Red Cross, and participates in the blood donation campaign (“Blood Donation Bus”) by recruiting blood donors in the company.
