Starting Strong: Meet AEC’s New Graduates

This spring, 21 new graduates officially joined American Engineering Corporation (AEC) as the newest members of our team.

Right after the entrance ceremony, we sat down with a few of our new hires to hear their honest first impressions,
what they’re looking forward to, and the goals they hope to achieve in the years ahead.

Each of them brings a different perspective—but they all share the same strong desire to learn, grow, and become someone others can count on.

“I want to become someone trusted with major projects.” — S

Since joining AEC, every day has felt fresh and exciting.
There’s so much to learn, and while I know there are still many things I’m not used to yet, I also feel that this is exactly the kind of environment where I can grow quickly by absorbing as much as possible.

Over the next three weeks of training, I want to build a strong foundation—not only in business manners, but also in the mindset expected of a working professional.
I’m especially looking forward to learning how decisions are made on site, how experienced team members approach their work, and what it really means to take responsibility as a professional.

Five years from now, I want to be the kind of person people can say, “We can trust them with a major project.”
To get there, I want to keep improving step by step, stay focused on what I can do today, and continue building the skills and trust needed to take on bigger responsibilities in the future.

“I was surrounded by warm, welcoming people—and it made me want to do my best for them.” — A

The first thing that stood out to me after joining AEC was the atmosphere.
Everyone was so welcoming, and that immediately gave me a strong sense of comfort and reassurance.

Starting in a new environment naturally comes with some nerves, but the warmth of the people around me made those worries fade very quickly.
It made me feel genuinely excited to begin my career here.
Because of that, I’ve felt even more motivated to do my best and contribute however I can to the team around me.

There’s still a lot I don’t know about the work itself, but during these three weeks of training, I want to stay proactive and learn as much as possible.
I want to make the most of this time so that when I’m assigned to a job site, I can adapt smoothly and contribute with confidence.

Three years from now, I want to become the kind of person new employees look up to—someone they think, “I want to be like that person,” or “I want to learn from them.”

Just as I’ve already felt supported by the people around me, I hope that one day I can be that kind of reassuring presence for someone else.

“I want to value the connections with my fellow new hires and keep growing every day.” — N

At the entrance ceremony, I was honestly very nervous at first.
I think it probably showed on my face—but as time went on, I gradually started to relax.

Even though everything was new, having the chance to talk with the other new hires made a big difference.
It helped me feel more comfortable and reminded me that I’m not starting this journey alone.
After the ceremony, we had a lunch gathering, and getting to connect with my fellow new hires felt really meaningful.

Having teammates who are starting from the same place is incredibly encouraging, and I feel like it was an important first step toward building strong communication and trust as we move forward together.
As I look ahead to training, one message from one of our executives has really stayed with me:
“How you spend these three weeks will make a difference.” That really resonated with me. I don’t want to let this time pass by without purpose.

I want to make these three weeks meaningful—to stay focused, take in as much as I can, and make sure I’m growing little by little every day.
Even if the progress is small, I want to be able to look back each day and feel, “There’s something new I can do now,” or “I’ve grown since yesterday.”

I believe real growth comes from small, consistent efforts, so I want to keep doing my best and stay fully engaged in the opportunities in front of me.

A New Beginning—and the Start of Real Growth

Although each of these new employees shared different thoughts and goals, they all had something important in common:

A sincere commitment to learn, grow, and become someone others can rely on.

Over the next three weeks of training—and through the hands-on experience that follows—we’re excited to see how they continue to develop at AEC.

We hope you’ll follow along and look forward to the future of our newest team members.
