On 8 March 2023, in honor of the International Women’s Day, AEC hosted a Health Event for employees at Okinawa Head Office.
Okinawa Head Office has approximately 700 employees from 20 countries, representing a great diversity of cultural backgrounds.
Of this figure, about 150 members are women.
The event included a Yoga lesson with an external instructor, as well as sessions to raise awareness about Maternity, Child Care and Family Care Leaves and importance of keeping a right balance between work and life.
As a corporate entity, AEC strives for creation of a work environment which encourages male employees to use Child Care Leave System.
Since 2020, when we had the first case of male employee who took a Child Care Leave, there are a total of 23 male employees who have used the system and achieved success in work while performing childcare.
Taking this International Women’s Day as a new start, AEC sustains its effort to create an environment where all members can work comfortably regardless of their genders or other identities.
